WALKING IN GOD’S FAVOR – Part 1

What It Really Means and How to Access It

God’s favor is one of the most profound gifts a person can receive. It’s not just a feeling or a lucky break—it’s the tangible evidence of divine approval. When God favors you, He empowers you to do what’s impossible on your own. In this post, we’ll explore what God’s favor truly is, how it works, and how to position yourself to walk in it daily.

Walking in God’s Favor

God’s favor is more than just a blessing—it’s an invitation into a deeper walk with Him. It is God’s demonstrated delight, His divine support, and the tangible evidence of His presence in your life. It is divine kindness and help beyond what you could ever earn; an act of true compassion from God Himself toward needy and undeserving humans. It’s the supernatural ability to do what is humanly impossible, and tangible approval from the Lord (Psalm 84:11, Proverbs 3:1–4)

What Is Favor?

Favor is divine kindness, supernatural help, and God’s demonstrated delight in your life. It’s not something we earn; it’s something He grants—often to those who walk closely with Him.
Favor is God’s way of showing that you have His backing, and that He’s opening doors you couldn’t open on your own.

“The favor of God is the grace that qualifies the unqualified.”

Favor vs. Entitlement

Entitlement expects blessings without surrender. Favor flows from surrender, humility, and obedience. Favor is not about getting everything you want, but being empowered for and becoming everything God has called you to be. God’s favor is not a shortcut or a spiritual privilege pass. It’s grace with purpose.

ü Isaiah 66:2 – God favors the humble and those who tremble at His word.

The importance of Favor in a man’s life

*Overcoming Obstacles: How favor can clear paths that seemed impossible.

*Accelerated Progress: Achieving goals more quickly or with less struggle.

*Divine Connections: Meeting the right people at the right time.

*Provision: Receiving resources, help, or opportunities when needed.

*Peace and Confidence: The assurance that comes from knowing you are blessed.

*Fulfillment of Purpose: Favor can position you to walk in your calling more effectively.

A Personal Testimony:

In my second year at university, I encountered God’s favor in a way that changed my life. What should have been impossible became possible, and that moment reminded me that favor is not random—it’s intentional and powerful. It’s how God establishes His plans in our lives.

God’s favor is not a lottery you win—it’s a gift you walk in when you’re surrendered, aligned, and faithful. And the good news? It’s available to anyone who will draw near to Him.

Gods favor is not found in chasing blessings, but in chasing Him. In Part 2, we’ll explore how to practically partner with God’s favor—through surrender, stewardship, and faith-filled action.
