You cannot pour from an empty cup. If you want your life to expand and your impact to be felt, you must first take radical responsibility for your secret place (and nurture the source).

To nurture is not a passive act; it is a militant protection of your inner world.

The Bible is clear that the condition of your heart dictates the trajectory of your life. Proverbs 4:23 commands us, “Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.” If you allow the weeds of guilt, bitterness, or mental clutter to grow unchecked, you are effectively sabotaging the harvest God has planned for you.

You must move past the surviving phase and enter the nurturing phase where you intentionally feed your spirit with the Bread of Life.

Nurturing your mind, body, and spirit expands your capacity beyond human limits. When you align your thoughts with Philippians 4:8, focusing on whatever is true, noble, and pure, you are recalibrating your internal compass toward divine success.

Stop nurturing a sense of guilt that Christ has already nailed to the cross! Romans 8:1 reminds us that there is no condemnation for those in Christ. Instead, nurture a sense of responsibility and humility, knowing that you are the steward of the “divine force” God has placed within you for His specific purpose.

This process of growth requires a consistent diet of truth. You must be like the man in Psalm 1:1-3, who meditates on the law of the Lord day and night so that he becomes like a tree planted by rivers of water, bringing forth fruit in its season.

Nurturing your mind happens through what you read, what you listen to, and who you allow to speak into your life. If you want to see your dreams manifest, you must be a student of the Word and a disciple of those who have walked the path before you. Learning is not optional; it is the fuel for your fire.

Finally, you must nurture a strength of spirit that acts as a shield in times of sudden misfortune. Many of our paralyzing fears are simply born of fatigue and loneliness, but Isaiah 40:31 promises that “those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles.”

Do not allow your imagination to run wild with what-ifs and anxieties. Instead, nurture the peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7). When your inner spirit is strong and well-nourished, you become unshakable, regardless of the storms raging on the outside.
